Bebe: Nicely written and well stated, as always. Bravo!

My wife has been a high school language teacher for many years, thus I can attest to your excellent points. The other point I’d make is about the “Power of One” principle — that it only takes one person to make a major difference in someone’s life. This is especially true for teachers who can have lasting influence and impact on students. I still remember my high school teacher who recognized I had some budding ability as a writer. He gave me the self-confidence and push I needed as a teen to pursue English and journalism in college.
