I agree with your astute analysis and have highlighted parts on your reply which really resonated with me. Hopefully, the President and Congress can put partisan differences aside and swiftly enact common sense gun reform on behalf of the American people whom they purport to represent — the majority of which favor such sensible gun control measures. I don’t anticipate a ban on assault weapons in the current political climate, but one never knows. However, I hope and pray for stronger background checks, along with a “red flag” law, as a smart first step. Fingers crossed…
