1) Yes, it certainly possible but I don't have any inside info on that Silicon Valley crowd. I would not be surprised if it were true, although I'm not sure we will ever know.

2) I'm not sure Trump would care, as he must win to avoid likely jail time. I think more positive messaging about a more promising future and "not going back" would be more effective. Message unity and discipline (of which Trump has none) are important for Kamala's surrogates to drill home her main points in the media, etc.
