Dr. Yildiz: Although I think it’s always helpful to get constructive criticism from other writers/experts/friends, I personally appreciate your writing style and the information you deftly convey. Thus, I would not change much, but that’s just my humble opinion. Some readers prefer shorter articles while some are for more substantive and comprehensive stories with technical expertise. I’m reminded of that saying that one can’t please all of the people all of the time.
If you change anything, I would suggest a more comprehensive summary upfront for those that want a quick read, followed by the more extensive and well researched perspective you always cogently present. You might also want to experiment with breaking up longer articles into multi part series to shorten the reading time.
The bottom line in my view is that each writer has their own style and voice that makes them unique. I don’t think writers should drastically overhaul their personal writing process simply to get more engagement. While every writer wants more engagement, each writer also needs to write for themselves—in addition to their audience—because they love writing in a style that works for them. That doesn’t mean writers should not experiment with tinkering around the edges and assessing the results.
Again, I don’t believe there’s much you should change. Moreover, I haven’t read anything from anyone on this platform who has figured out that perplexing and ever-changing algorithm for engagement. So, my best advice is to stay true to your authentic self and writing style.
