Dr. Yildiz: Kudos on such a well researched, educational, informative and personal account of two major overlapping societal ills which continue to plague our world. Society must focus much more on our individual shared humanity rather than magnifying superficial characteristics and racial stereotypes. We all have much more in common per the human experience—and even genetically per shared DNA—than any perceived differences.
Racism and caste systems reflect some of the most negative and evil aspects of human existence. And while some progress has been made in some countries, we all still have a long way to go in achieving the noble goal of fairness and equality for all people. Lack of progress in this regard is detrimental to humanity and our shared existence.
