My only point is that “genocide” is not the correct word to use regarding this situation and is, in fact, intellectually dishonest— words have meaning and consequences. Here’s the actual definition, not hyperbole. The situation at the border is atrocious enough to call it what it is, not what it isn’t.

Genocide means, “The deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.”
