My understanding is that the approval process for a Wikipedia page must meet strict standards, per the “Notability” guideline used by editors (which is one example I write about in the article). Moreover, if someone wants their own bio page, it would still be necessary to cite many articles about themselves from legitimate external sources, like mainstream media.

Thus it’s not as easy to get your own bio page as it might appear. But it never hurts to try if you have the credential to meet Wikipedia’s notability test. There’s even a cottage industry of ghostwriters who specialize in drafting Wikipedia bios to meet the rigorous approval criteria. The following provides more technical information…
