Jill, I respectfully beg to differ. I believe it could change the electoral outcome in Michigan by peeling off an important bloc of the Democratic base in a must-win state. There are about 242,000 Muslim voters in Michigan, and the last election was decided by approximately 150,000 votes. Thus, it's more likely that the Shapiro pick would hurt Kamala in Michigan, perhaps costing her the state. Plus, it would divide the party when unity must be maintained. Lastly, is the country ready for a Jewish vice president and a Jewish first gentleman?
