Kudos to Maria on a well written article which brings back many fond memories for me.
I was a young 20-something who worked on the Clinton-for-President campaign straight out of college. I was assigned to the Presidential Transition Office (Personnel Dept) after the election, and then to the White House, Office of Presidential Personnel, after the inauguration.
I’m still proud to have played even a very small part in helping staff the new Administration with a record number of women who broke gender barriers. These talented women not only served their country at the highest levels of government, but also served as shining role models for the private sector and global workforce.
Fostering gender equality and workplace diversity is just one of President Clinton’s many historic legacies to better our nation and further the American ideal of equal opportunity for all people.
Thank you, President Clinton.
