Linda, thanks for your valuable engagement. A few thoughts:
1) Real Journalism did not die. It was forced to adapt and transition to the digital news ecosystem with Google and Facebook monopolizing all the advertising revenue which traditional news outlets once received.
2) No one is forced to stay in a media silo or bubble. I get my news from a range of both liberal-leaning and conservative-leaning media. Then I reach my own conclusions after consuming a diverse range of news. I suggest others do the same. We need to be educated news consumers rather than falling for the talking points of one side or the other. Yes, there is middle ground.
