Scott, you hit the proverbial nail on the head. I can understand how easily young Americans (Gen Z) were so easily duped by TikTok because, by its very nature, youth breeds ignorance and naïveté—whereas wisdom is gained through life experience, including trials and tribulations. What I don’t understand is how The United States government could drop the ball so badly and let this happen to the point that we are in today? As the famous showman PT Barnum once said: “There’s a sucker born every minute”
Unfortunately, there are way too many suckers among the Gen Z population. And the cost of their ignorance may be staggering in terms of US foreign policy and national security.
