Thank you so much for your exemplary reply, which was both educational and informative. First, I am generally pro second amendment. The only exception being assault weapons or how whatever you wanna call them or classify them as—AR15, AK-47, et. Having worked in government and politics for many years I am very aware of the NRA. You make some really good points, however I still think such ban is warranted and appropriate, Especially with a mass shooting epidemic that’s proliferating nationwide. So why do these weapons of war need to be legal? What do you need them for? Hunting? Target practice? It doesn’t make any sense to me, regardless of what other weapons might be available (non-guns). Thus, we are going to have to agree to disagree, it sounds like. Nevertheless, I am grateful for your engagement with this article and for the valuable information you’re included.
