I agree with you that society must not only seize this “moment” per the #MeToo movement, but continue to build on it. I believe women leaders and others will continue to make their voices heard by speaking out against unlawful harassment and discrimination. It’s also critically important for men to do their part, as articulated above. Moreover, the Hollywood-based “Time’s Up” initiative — in addition to launching some very effective public service announcements about sexual harassment and assault — is partnering with the National Women’s Law Center to create a large legal fund for victims of sexual harassment who may be unable to afford a lawyer to pursue their cases. Lastly, sustained public education, enforcement, outreach and awareness are all necessary to help stop sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination. Employers have a big role to play by promoting voluntary compliance and fostering a discrimination-free work culture (which simply makes good business sense). Thus, the fight for justice and equality continues…
