Thanks very much for taking the time to read and comment on this post. I appreciate the points you have made. Please note that I never wrote Israel was “kind” to the people of Gaza. However, you did not mention that Garza was controlled by a terrorist organization, Hamas, which was responsible for government that territory that providing basic services to the civilian population.
However, putting that aside, why is it that no Arab country in the Middle East wants to help the Palestinian people in Gaza or the West Bank? The Arab countries talk a big game of supporting the Palestinians but when it comes down to it they offer no concrete assistance, ranging from financial to everything else. Do you know why that is? Are you telling me with all the Arab countries’ wealth and oil money they can’t devote anything to help their brothers, the Palestinians?
Why did Egypt close its border at the RAFA crossing to the people of northern Gaza who could have taken refuge there and been out of the war zone?
Why doesn’t Jordan allow Palestinians in the West Bank into their country, which shares a border and has a big Palestinian population?
Why is it that Arab countries who control 99.9% of all the land in the Middle East have to focus destroying the Jewish homeland of Israel, which accounts for about 0.01% of the entire region?
I am not defending the Netanyahu Likud government, nor am I defending all of Israel’s military policies. However, when your enemies try to end your existence for decades and decades, it affects how you police your borders.
I hope you likewise take these points into consideration, in addition to the ones you have made in your comments. Lastly, as noted in several articles on the topic, I favor a two-state solution through diplomatic multilateral negotiations to provide a fair and equitable agreement for both Israel and the Palestinians to live in peace and security within their own countries.
Do you support peace with Israel?
