What a significant but overlooked point, Aiden. It's easy for writers to get discouraged about low readership, claps, comments and related Medium metrics. However, writers should recall the Power of One Principle: one person or one story can resonate with profound results and have an important impact--even if it's only for one reader. I wrote about this principle for writers (see article pinned on my profile page for more). Thus, in essence, having influential affect on even one reader can potentially lead to life altering decisions for that one reader, or affect their lives in other ways. This is an unknown metric per se which can't necessarily be measured by reads, claps, comments or related data points. Yet it's what counts the most, at least in my opinion. Does this make sense?
